Description: This is a part-time permanent position responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the Town and Community activities and events.  Salary may be negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Work schedule is variable and includes weekends and evenings. This employee will report directly to the Town Manager and will work from the office in the Community Center. This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing the Town and Community events and activities. Will need to facilitate placemaking initiatives to foster the connection between citizens, local business owners, and the Town.

Requirements: High school graduate or GED; two years of experience in organizing events, fundraisers, athletics, festivals, or other related activities. Experience in working with the general public and using self-management skills and interpersonal skills.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess or obtain prior to employment, a valid North Carolina Driver’s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Experience working with computer programs is preferred. Because of the nature of this position, a strict criminal background investigation will be conducted during the hiring process. Basic first aid and CPR Certification.
