The Holly Ridge Volunteer Fire and Rescue, along with neighboring agencies, will be conducting a training evolution at the J&J Snack Foods manufacturing facility in the town of Holly Ridge. The exercise will simulate a hazardous materials leak at that facility prompting a response from local emergency service agencies. Minor traffic delays in town may be encountered on secondary roads near the J&J Snack facilities on Sound Rd. The training evolution will start at 1000 on 10 February and should last no longer than 3 hours. The exercise will include a simulated evacuation for some of the housing areas in town. Residents will see emergency vehicles and personnel in these areas. We appreciate your cooperation and apologize for any inconvenience. We strive to provide our services to the best of our abilities. Thank you for your support.
