MAYOR'S MESSAGE
Recently, new playground equipment was added to the existing equipment in the park for the enjoyment of the kids in the community. The picnic shelters are available for rental as well as the community Building for meetings, weddings, birthdays, family reunions, etc. These forms are available for download on our Rentals page.
If you are a resident of Holly Ridge, you are living in the best of worlds. Holly Ridge is in an area where the residents are about five minutes from the beach, forty five minutes from Wilmington and twenty five minutes from Jacksonville. During the past few years, Holly Ridge has by petition, extended its city limits (satellite annexed) areas that includes developments such as Summerhouse, Sages Ridge, Neighborhoods of Holly Ridge, and also new proposed developments on Morris Landing Road and Folkstone Road. The Holly Ridge Station, south of town is now completed and has a couple of businesses located there.
To comply with the new state laws on recycling, the town has stepped up its efforts in urging the citizens of the town to participate in the recycling program. The Town now offers a curbside recycling program for all citizens in Town. Pick-up for recycling is bi-weekly on Fridays. The convenience containers located at the Town Hall for dropping off recycling are no longer available.
The Town Council and the town employees strive very diligently to clean up the town’s appearance and to attract potential homeowners and businesses, and make Holly Ridge a better place to live and raise a family. The Town Council meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm at the Town Hall. You are invited to attend our meetings and get involved in what is going on in the town.
